Sibling

Sibling is one of two or more individuals having one or both parents in common; a brother or sister.

There are many bloggers, forums and status in facebook and twitter which are discussing the hot topics on Malaysia and Indonesia. Are they going to war?

Personally I do not think so and my reason is quite simple because they are “sibling”. A word that I would define as a friend which are not by choice.

There are many of us who have siblings that we sometime wish or (maybe for some of you, I should use the word always) that they are not here. We are always comparing, competing and annoying and annoyed with each other. Sometime we fight so hard and long, we stop seeing each other. Some of us might go a bit more extreme, we started to destroy each other. Both the two countries are doing everything I’ve mentioned above.

Have any of you start wondered what would happen if your sibling is your next door neighbour? imagine after 20 years living together in the same roof and suddenly you are back to square one and live  side by side. Do you really think you will have no fight? no argument ? no bad feeling?

So this is how I am looking at Indonesian and Malaysian’s relationship. I do not believe they will go to war, they will continue to fight and pick on each other but I believe if one day some other countries are going to fight one of them, I truly believe they will stand for each other because these two countries are to proud to let another country to destroy their worst enemy.

So, just sit down and enjoy the sibling rivaly and I would like to share this quote with my readers which will conclude my opinion tonight.

Sisters never quite forgive each other for what happened when they were five.  ~Pam Brown”

  1. hello, jen…

not sure if u know i’ve been visiting ur website, cant remember how i stumble upon it, but im sure u wouldnt mind? The postings are far and between, but it allows me to keep up with the things that are happening in your life / have a glimpse into ur life given that we talk so little…

for me, i think there are rivalry issues bcos there exists insecurities in the lives of the people involved…i tink the first step to dealing with the problems is to recognise that we live our own lives and there is no need to conform / live up to another person’s expectations, including that of our parents.

but like you said, blood is thicker than water…hopefully one day, we’ll all be able to sit down and laugh at all that has happened, and we can also talk about the good old memories we share as siblings, all 4 of us with our halves.

also, eventually when we become parents ourselves, that we do not fall into the trap of favouritism…my 2 cents’ worth lah…

hope things are ok with u and widhe…

  2. I was not actually thinking of us, but funny now you have mentioned it maybe deep inside I do want that to happen but at this moment I am too upset and angry to move on.

“i tink the first step to dealing with the problems is to recognise that we live our own lives and there is no need to conform / live up to another person’s expectations, including that of our parents.” I agree.

I am hoping that If I do become a parent myself, I can be fair at least I can practise with my students and it is hard. I do not want to show it but some kids make you prouder than others.

We are good and thanks for visiting, I do not really know who is actually reading my crap.
